Private pay
Care that starts now, without waiting on an approval.
Most of our families are covered by the Georgia Pediatric Program. Some are not, or not yet. If you are waiting on a GAPP decision, were denied, need more hours than Medicaid approved, or your child is over 21, you can hire us directly. Same nurses, same leadership, same standards.
Founding family offer
15% off your first month of care
Plus a free in home consultation and care plan. Available to our first 20 private pay families. Call to reserve your spot.
Private pay care only. This offer does not apply to Medicaid or GAPP funded services, cannot be combined with other discounts, and is limited to the first 20 families who begin private pay care.
Who this is for
Waiting on GAPP
Approval usually takes weeks after a complete request. Private pay care can cover the gap so your child comes home on schedule.
More hours than Medicaid approved
If your child’s approved hours don’t cover what your family needs, you can add hours privately with the same nurses.
Denied, or appealing
We help with the appeal. In the meantime, care doesn’t have to stop.
No Medicaid, or over 21
Private insurance families, families who don’t qualify, and young adults aging out of GAPP can all hire us directly.
What you can hire by the hour
Rates depend on the level of care and your child’s needs. We go over them on your first call and confirm everything in your written care agreement before any shift starts.
Respite and companion care Caregiver
Supervision, play, meals and routines so parents can rest and recharge.
Personal care CNA or aide
Bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility and daily living support.
Private duty nursing LPN
One to one nursing care, medications and monitoring in extended shifts.
Skilled nursing RN
Registered nurse care for medically complex needs and care oversight.
RN skilled nursing visit RN
Up to one hour: assessment, medication or G tube care, teaching and follow up.
Respite packages
Families who need regular respite can set up a monthly block of 20, 40 or 60 hours at a reduced hourly rate. Ask about packages on your first call.
What affects the rate
- Complex care (trach, ventilator) is priced above the standard nursing rate
- Holidays carry a holiday rate
- Overnight and 24 hour care are quoted for your situation
- Siblings seen in the same visit are added at a small per child rate
Payment
- Invoiced every two weeks; due on receipt
- Credit or debit card, ACH, or check
- HSA and FSA may apply; check your plan
Scheduling
- Free in home consultation and care plan
- 24 hours’ notice to cancel or change a visit
- Same caregiver whenever possible
How private pay and GAPP work together
They aren’t either or. Many families start with private pay so care begins on the day their child comes home, then move to GAPP funded hours once Georgia Medicaid approves the request. Others keep a few private hours alongside their approved hours for the shifts Medicaid didn’t cover. Either way, it is the same nurses and the same care plan, and we keep the two clearly separated on your statements. Anything GAPP covers is billed to Medicaid, never to you.
Not sure which applies to your family? One call sorts it out. The conversation is free and there is no obligation. Read about GAPP and eligibility.

Questions families ask about private pay
Is there a contract?
A written care agreement that states your rate and the cancellation terms. No long term commitment.
Can I switch to GAPP later?
Yes. If your child is approved, GAPP funded hours replace the private hours you no longer need, without changing nurses.
Will insurance reimburse me?
Some plans reimburse private duty nursing. We give you itemized invoices to submit. We can’t promise what your plan will do.
Does the founding family offer apply to GAPP care?
No. GAPP care already has no out of pocket cost, and Medicaid rules don’t allow discounts on covered services. The offer is for private pay only.
