About Little Hearts HC
Small enough to reach. Serious enough to trust.
We started Little Hearts HC because families of medically complex children deserve more than a phone tree and a stranger at the door. They deserve a nursing agency that knows their child by name, answers when they call, and treats every shift like it matters, because it does. As owners, we stay personally involved in every family’s care, from the first visit on.
Why we do this
Caring for medically fragile and disabled children runs in our founder’s family. Alvin Carrasco’s mother spent twenty years caring for children with disabilities, first at home and later at the facility where Alvin spent his own childhood volunteering beside her. His aunt spent twenty years doing the same work at A. Harry Moore School in Jersey City. That is how he grew up, and it is how he sees this work now: not as a service, but as something personal.
Along the way he kept seeing the same thing. Families caring for a medically fragile child need more than a provider who shows up on schedule. They need someone who understands what the weight of it actually feels like, and who picks up the phone. So we started Little Hearts to do this the way we would want it done for our own children: owners you can reach, nurses who know your child’s equipment before the first shift, and paperwork that is our job, not yours. We serve Georgia families through the Georgia Pediatric Program, and we do it in English, Hindi, Spanish, Urdu and Punjabi, because every family deserves to feel understood, not just served.
Meet the team
Alvin Carrasco, Founder & CEO
Alvin grew up around this work: his mother spent twenty years caring for children with disabilities, and he volunteered alongside her as a boy. He holds a finance degree from New Jersey City University and is a father himself. He started Little Hearts to bring that kind of care to Georgia families, in English and in Spanish.

Biggie, Public Relations Manager
Little Hearts mascot. Biggie takes his role at Little Hearts HC very seriously, especially when it involves welcoming new friends, supervising meetings, and reminding the team when it’s time for a break. A rescue dog from New Jersey, Biggie’s playful personality, curious nature, and undeniable charm bring a little extra joy wherever he goes.
When he isn’t supporting team morale, Biggie can usually be found lounging on the sofa, monitoring snack activity, or simply looking handsome. He believes every family deserves compassion, comfort, and a warm welcome.
How we run the agency
Small on purpose.
We take on the cases we can staff well. We’d rather say no than send a nurse who doesn’t know your child’s equipment.
Nurses who stay.
We match a nurse to your child and keep the same nurses on the case for as long as we can, so they learn your child’s baseline.
An RN supervises every case.
Our RN clinical supervisor reviews the care plan, checks nurse competency on your child’s equipment and visits the home on a regular schedule and after any change in your child’s condition.
The paperwork is our job.
GAPP forms, physician orders, renewals and appeals. You sign. We chase.
Licensed and accountable
